Demand for property in Norfolk city 'on the rise'
There is increasing demand for property for sale in Norfolk, it has been
claimed.
According to Brenda Arthur, executive member for housing and adult
services at Norwich City Council, there is considerable interest in
affordable homes in the area, the Norfolk Eastern Daily Press
reports.
She said: "The demand for affordable housing is growing and so the
challenge to meet this is even greater than ever."
However, the local authority is "determined" to do all it can to
get people into the homes they "need and deserve", she added.
The council - which is headquartered in City Hall on St Peter's
Street - is searching for a firm of architects to design a set of
new properties.
In total, ten affordable homes are planned for a former
council-owned garage site in Bowers Avenue, Mile Cross.
There will be three two-bed, five three-bed and two four-bed
residences, all of which will meet high environmental
standards.
