London house prices see 'monthly and annual increase'

Properties in London have seen a significant year-on-year price
rise, according to the November figures from the Land Registry
office.
People with houses for sale in Muswell Hill may be interested to
see that the organisation's house price index shows that homes in
the capital experienced an annual increase in value of 3.5 per
cent.
This change was the biggest year-on-year increase in the country,
followed by properties in the south-east and east of England which
went up by two and 1.7 per cent respectively.
Overall, properties across England and Wales enjoyed a monthly
increase of 0.9 per cent, with the average price standing at
£161,554.
Homes in Wales saw the biggest monthly rise of 2.9 per cent, while
those in London followed close behind, going up by two per cent
compared to October.
Last month, the Land Registry office revealed that house prices
went up by an average of 0.6 per cent in England and Wales from
September to October.
