New homes 'have their advantages'

While older properties have their charms, new homes may be viewed
as a better choice for some buyers, it has been claimed.
Writing in the Liverpool Echo, Dawn Collinson pointed out that
there is generally less maintenance involved with
newer-builds.
In addition, there should not be a need for updating and
redecorating.
She stated: "New homes are built to the very latest building
regulations and most come with a National House Building Council
Buildmark warranty which provides ten years of cover against major
damage to the property."
Also, most are fitted with UPVC double glazing, fascias and soffit
boards, the writer pointed out.
According to Ms Collison, Spring is traditionally one of the
busiest times in the housing market, so now could be a good time to
make a move.
Recently, developer Taylor Wimpey drew attention to a number of
houses for sale in Kent on developments at
Furfield Park, Queens Square and Kings Walk in Maidstone.
